I guess I'm still living in the past :( But rushing it? a date isn't rushing it thats what you do to see if you're interested in each other.... the way you purpose might leave him in the "friends zone" and thats a lot worse then being rejected because after being rejected you can still be friends if you like but once you're friends with someone and try to be in a relationship its a lot harder and mostly never works In my experience.
