So, I finally built my new PC, but when I try to start a game/movie, it gets BSOD's.

Uh, have you updated your graphics card drivers/checked that your graphics card is actually compatible with your system?

It's been fully updated.
I'm not sure if it's compatible.

Phenom II X4 955 3.2GHz
Gigabyte 880GMA-USB3 Motherboard
ASUS GTX460 1GB
Seagate Barracuda 1.5TB HDD
G.SKILL Ripjaws 4GB RAM
Windows 7 Home Premium

It should fit that. Just it sounds more of a graphics card issue than anything else. Think it could be a defective unit?

Well, it says the file that is causing it is called win32k.sys.
I'm assuming that's a Windows file. I've recently gone to the Gigabyte website and dl'd the drivers for my MB, so hopefully this will fix it.

Or, as Cake said, it could just be a defective GPU...

if it was defective gpu wouldnt the motherboards intergrated take over?

Kernal can be a wide variety of probrems.
List of what i know.
Ram
Swapfile/Pagingfile
Any driver... Including Bios.

sounds a LOT like RAM issue
test computer using 1 slot at a time
if it was gpu, either it wouldnt boot/integ gfx, or the driver would crash, not bsod (usually)

Well, I just updated my BIOS, and if that doesn't fix it I'll check my RAM.
If all else fails, we'll take it to a computer outlet store to get it worked on.
Thanks for the suggestions, guys.
EDIT: Fixed it.
My stepdad put the RAM in two different color slots. So I put them both in the blue ones.

Does your system still show both sticks there, and all the ram available?

Yup, all RAM is there.
It couldn't utilize dual channeling, so I guessed it fucked everything up.

Ohhhhh.
Yeh ram slots should are colour coded.

Putting it wrong will make dual channel not functional.
I didnt know it would bsod if you did that.
