Update progress: A stable build for bukkit was just released at the time of posting; I will wait until morning to try it out and update the server. Be aware; this update will likely break all plugins, and we will have to find and suffer through the bugs. Speaking of plugins, I have not yet seen any activity from the Essentials team regarding an update; depending on how broken it will be, we may be playing without it for a few days.

Couldn't we just let trusted players (meaning I won't be there) for that time period and not have any plugins, or does it not matter?

Shouldn't matter. If its unplayable, I'll remove the plugin. If xAuth doesn't work, I'll run a temporary whitelist

EDIT: bukkit must update again due to the critical 1.8.1 release. Expect further delays.

Bump. Apparently, the second part of the "Adventure Update" (Minecraft Version 1.9) is coming out tomorrow.

This will push a recommended build even further for bukkit.
Expect major delays until we are even basically playable, regardless of all our old features.

We are updated to 1.8.1

Come on and join us. All plugins BUT ESSENTIALS work. Essentials is pretty much the one that does EVERYTHING, so expect stock MC gameplay for now.
I'll be learning the 1.8 update because I have not yet played; you should all join me.

However; keep in mind, a new update may come out tomorrow. depending on how big, we may not see an update for a week or so. I recommend staying 1.8.1 until bukkit 1.9 comes out, if you are a common player. I will also NOT BE KEEPING THIS MAP; It will be used for learning purposes only

Yeah, we're coming back. I'm gonna take a big ass chunk of world out for builders, let you guys do what you want, but we will come back as survival based.

The idea of the server will be as close to single player as possible, while still allowing the builders and experimenters to do so, without running a "multiverse" plugin cause I have a shit tower.

I'll do this through clever use of the plugin system
which
once bukkit 1.0 comes out, will be a few days for the plugins to be updated again, THEN we'll be back to normal

We have, as of right now, successfully transferred to snivy's 24 hour server! Here's how the system will work:

I will maintain the "Survival" world (aka, singleplayer style).

Snivy & Gamefreak will manage the "Creative" world (infinite build, flight, etc).


For now, the multiverse is not up, and we will be survival only for a little bit, until snivy configures his shit.
