Intelligence. Mental Freedom.
The best freedom ever given to me. Impeccable, free will.
From simple lines and crayon drawings, to enigmas of enigmas of worlds and places, and properties and universes and realities, colours, feelings, Numbers, energy, things that could never be perceived normally within the constricted confines that is the realm of immediate reality.
Sometimes, I may not have been so glad to have been born/existential, but, at least I was born with the gift of Sapience.
I can Learn, and dream, and make moral choices, understand languages, symbols, pictues, anything. And Everything. And even when I don't understand, I know that I do not know.
Most living things, they just act on their instincts and (sometimes even) their chemical reactions with the world. A Prime example would be a bug.
It just does. Survivial. They will fall asleep if you turn off all the light sources, they can't control it. And if they can, they do not even "think" about doing so.
They can't go "Oh, it's not night yet, there's just no light in my immediate location."
Me? I could wander and wander forever in the dark. Or I can stand still. Or lie down. Or be cautious. Or think about something horrific. Or laugh. I've been given the gift of Intelligence. Common sense, even.
But I can CHOOSE those options. And I like that I can choose.
