As most of you know, hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans 2005
Well, it damaged everything including Six Flags in New Orleans.

This is what the park looked like after Hurricane Katrina hit:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

It never reopened.

It's lifeless and abandoned. A place where it's supposed to be fun, crowded and amusing is now just an abandoned, neglected and sad place.
Here's a video tour:

Abandoned Six Flags New Orleans Tour

Of course that's not the most recent. Want to know what it looks like now this 2011?

This has never happened to me and I doubt it ever will lol..

But imagine a piece of your childhood destroyed like this and having the chance to go back?

Let's say a theme park you love and went a lot to as a child (even now) was destroyed and abandoned.
You were given the chance to go look at it and walk around. That feeling of seeing the ride you rode is now rusty and creepy looking.

Shit would be so awesome
._.

I remember going on The Jester in Six Flags, New Orleans. Its sad to see it now. But that was a long time ago and as time flies by, so does my memory.

Action Park in NJ - now Mountain Creek - feels that way - even though the majority of the Roaring Springs, and a lot of the Waterworld rides are still there, some great rides were lost - notably the oldest slide in the park dating back to the end of the 70s being torn down after my last time there in 2009.
