Hmm... When I triple booted (win7,ubuntu,OSX) i just made three partitions and I had no problems when I did that. Try using a program called gparted, see if you cant fix what you fucked up. It boots from a cd so you should be able to do it no matter how bricked your hdd is.

I know.

I didn't say I wasn't going to order one,

The problem I have is that the HDD is all in one huge 320GB Partition, that has an "unknown" amount of free-space. Not sure how the partition manager would help me.

What the fuck? So when you went to install linux you installed it to the same partition as windows?

I somehow installed the loader on the Windows Partition, and I told linux to install alongside windows.

I don't know. I just fucked up.

Bovicide:
I don't even know how you could make that mistake. When you go to install ubuntu, it asks which partition to install to (and if you install to an occupied partition it should ask to format), then goes to that partition. You shouldn't have ever "installed" a loader, unless you were trying to use GRUB... and I dont know why you wouldn't just use the win7 bootloader since it works automatically.

Idk man you fucked up. I dont even know how you made such a mistake.
