FUBAR'd laptop's HDD. Back on netbook for a while. Read for more info.

Well I did something I shouldn't have, and I sort of fucked up my laptops HDD.
I know how to fix it, but my problem right now is trying to get all my files backed up without deleting all the old files off it.
Not sure how long I'll be out of commission, but I installed Ubuntu on my netbook I was using beforehand.

Unfortunately, I'm stuck with only 15GB's of HDD space.

Going to use WINE to emulate Steam, but from past experience, it'd take a while, and honestly, I don't feel like dealing with it right now.
I'm going to get TS3 running tonight though, since theres a linux client for it.
If anyone wants/has to contact me (because I feel oh-so-special), that'd be the way to do it.

I'd like to also re-emphasize I don't know how long it would take, so this is also some way of saying "I might be inactive for a while".

What I might have to end up doing is remove my HDD and backup all the files through a SATA-to-USB enclosure, sadly, I only have a IDE one.

Spoiler: For those of you who are curious to know how I fucked up (click to show/hide)I decided to dual-boot Ubuntu onto win7 to act like a netbook (Quickly access internet and basic files without loading win7 completely, and also running in a ultra-low power mode), but I somehow told GRUB to use win7 as my loader drive. When I try to boot win7, it simply loop backs into GRUB.

So my next thought was "Well, lets see if theres a way to get Win7 working again", and my next step was to run the Recovery Setup on the OEM partition of the drive.

Everything was going well, until it asked me to reboot, at which point, everything went bad. GRUB won't load, nothing will load. I tried to re-install 7 altogether, hoping I'd be able to get my files off from the windows.old file, but apparently, my HDD is 100% full, and I'd have to delete the contents on the drive.
So yeah, this is why idiots like me shouldn't be allowed to try do complex things like Dual Booting.

Also, I'm an attention whore for making this topic, because I'm so full of myself that I think people actually care. Please rape my face.

//And it's late, and I just feel like going to bed, so pretend all those grammar and spelling mistakes aren't there.

//2 - I can also continue to work on (But from scratch) the project legends OST. Theres a linux client for the program I use that is open-sourced, so I plan on using that.

Take the HDD out of the laptop and use a hubby to get the data, then format, put back into laptop and have another go

I only have 15GB's on the Netbook, which is running linux. The laptop HDD is 320GB's, but is apparently full, and won't let me re-install windows on it without reformatting.

That what I said I was going to do, but I only have one for IDE HDD's, not SATA. I'd have to get one ordered.

They really aren't expensive...
