Can you imagine making the choice to do this?

I don't think they had a choice at all...

·UηİŦ··:
I now know why I don't feel like doing anything today.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)Innocence = Died.

It made it worse/more traumatizing for me because 14 months prior to this I was on a plane to Jamaica, which then itself almost crashed and had to make an emergency landing in the middle of Cuba, which fucked me up good. The isle shaking violently, then the plane going sideways, enough to have myself TILT. Someone yelling about fire.

I was scared shitless.

And that's all I could visualize as I watched everything happen over and over again, everywhere I looked.

I watched the damn thing twice (and then some). The announcement of it at school, and then the whole thing at home. Fucked me up watching 2 planes, full of people, fly into a tower and explode.

2/3 hours from where I live.

A plane doesn't belong in a building. I mean, even then I remember comparing the mere sizes of those things. It didn't even come back out, god.

Those poor people.

Just started billowing smoke, imagine all the men, women, and maybe even children in there, what they saw & how they were forced to react.

And then it just collapsed. Both of them. All those people inside...

All those people on the ground.

I don't even want to think about it anymore
And what the hell is This.

"Some of the relatives contended that the remains would be incorporated into a museum experience, as in a Ripley’s Believe It or Not exhibit, and said they wanted them interred in an aboveground tomb, separate from the museum."

All I can do is shake my head is disbelief.

Also, sorry Yomo, but what about the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki drops by USA in 1945, killing a fuckload of more people the 9/11.

So, I don't give a fuck about 9/11. Inb4sum1ragesbecidgafbout9/11.

edit a year later: hurr i r edgy

I can't believe I made this post a year ago. Haha, tried to put as many "fucks" in here as possible. It was probably because I was on /b/ at that time.

Still really, I think 9/11 is over dramatized.

It's also a HUGE source of blind patriotism.

It was horrible that 2 thousand people died, but really we don't need it to be shoved down our throats every year.

It also caused a useless war.

Brits, do you have any national remembrances, memorials, etc. on national television for the 6/6 bombings?

Those above the impact zones had no chance. All elevators and stairs were destroyed in Tower 1, meaning 100% of those trapped above the impact died. Tower 2 only had 1 stair, so well over 80 or 90% of the people there died.

They really had only 3 choices - All which would have resulted in their deaths. Suffocate from the fumes, get crushed from the collapsed building, or jump - quick and painless. Of course many chose the latter. Some, like Mr. Kevin Cosgrove stayed until the towers collapsed. His last phone call was recorded and put on Youtube, allowing millions of people to hear him die. His last words were "Oh God! Oh-" before the call disconnected as Tower 2 fell.

Shit's really fucked up.

Kevin Cosgrove an ordinary man

Hearing a man die is traumatizing.

Tbh, I agree with that. I don't really want to go into explanation on it because A) this is the internet, I can't expect shit to be taken seriously and to have an actual discussion where at no point is there stupid trolling or just plain stupid comments or w.e, and B) it's just not worth it. But yea, I have a lot of respect for anyone who's gone through the effects of 9/11 in any way, it's truly a terrible thing that happened, and a lot of innocent people had died for others' mistakes. (And for everyone that's going to say wowowow there are worse tragedies than 9/11 more people died for same reasons blah blah, I'm not saying that's wrong, but why make peoples' DEATHS into a competition? It doesn't mean that 9/11 was any less tragic...)

And Cheesicle, I seriously don't see why you -1'd Tiger's post. He just said that there's a lot of blind patriotism on the subject, which really is true. He didn't in any way insult anyone in the post or mean to come across as offensive. Maybe if he had worded it like his last post that he quoted, but he didn't.
