Could just be a faulty bit of software, I get bsod's occasionally while playing hl2 games as well.

All a Bsod means in general is some piece of software attempted to write in a memory sector that it isn't allowed to.

but its happening very offten, like a week before i can play garry's mod for like 30 hours straight(coffee included) and it still stands, but theses last few days the computer start getting bsod, someone them doesn't even have a message, that's what scares me

another problem, this could be a graphical reason but, i see black strips of lines or void stuck on the middle of the screen(body, props) like if a breakable box is there
with the void strips, i break it, its gone, or i rejoin the server, this happens to minecraft VERY offten, but for gmod if see this i immediately get a bsod, not 3 secs not when the round ends, see a strip walk, walk towards to the strip, bsod, this-is-creepy....

Your video card is dieing, Those are called video artifacts, and almost exclusively is a sign of a bad video card component.

You best bet would be to send the laptop into the manufacture to get it fixed.

RMA =/= RAM

Return to Manufacturer

Get a replacement

Things happen bro

And yes you can replace RAM in a laptop

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Dude, I know. It sucks. Major.

But
Things happen bro

And think about it this way... when you get something new, it's always easier to start over... at least; that's true with computers.

Oh and they run faster too, sometimes.

I also don't believe changing the RAM will change anything, especially if you get the same type/set as the original... basically it'd be like installing a non-defunct RAM, and your computer will be Pre-errors once again :>

Though

RMA stands for: Return Merchandise Authorization

RAM stands for: Random Access Memory.

It is actually quite easy to chance laptop RAM (Memory) in most cases, but the problem your describing sounds a lot more like a Video Card Problem

You would be much better off bringing to a reputable computer repair store, as they would be able to better diagnose it than just a bunch of people over the internet.

If you had an extensive set of Computer Repair skills and were asking for advice that would be a different story. However, since you seem new to computer repair, bring it to a repair shop.

sry i had to resurrect the post, ok i decided to give gmod a break, but yeah. my computer is around 2001-2003 and its a xps m1210, the lowest spec you can find the,1.66 ghz one(miracle,i can play tf2 fine) i srsly don't want to buy a new computer, and repairment cost alot of money, i can't add or remove ram since this is an old computer, and its in horrible condition....unless theres a cheap "RMD", and is there a good place you can tell me that can repair my computer?
