First day: I be like... FML
Materials gathered: Get chloroform (never know when you need it :trollface:), variety of guns from my dad's friend's gun store, food, water, essential things for survival, radio
Weapons/gears: Chloroform, Shotguns, pistols, assault rifles, silencers, grenades, maybe bulletproof vest (zombies don't use guns lol), smg, lots of other shit to carry in car/bus
Where to go: idk, find a small/medium complex with trusted people to guard while we try to think what to do next, move places to places if necessary

I can get my hands on all of these things through my Own Posessions (Yes, I actually have a M15 at my house, for starters :I) EXCEPT the Code for the ICBMs, the 'MES', and if I'm too lazy, the Microwave butchered into a Dangerous, 'Ghetto', Bulky Single-Beam-Directed-Energy Handheld Microwave Emitter.
Also the Grenades may be slightly exaggerated in the numbers, but who's to say the Interesting people I meet don't know of a nonexistant Weapons Cache ^-^

In order to have an effective group, there needs to be teamwork, and balance.
Most likely I want someone with a Shotgun of any choice, someone with a PARA/Support Weapon (AKA Rambo), I need a Camper (Sniper), 2nd in Command who preferably is Intelligence/handles the rest of Co-ordination and communication, and then there's the guy who can take on a horde of zombies with a katana without getting a drop of blood on himself...
Worst Scenario I get 3 CQBs, the odd one out with a Dragonov sitting in his basement, and the More-Incompetent-than-Unit-PreDoomsday Intelligence Guy... Who's also a Wuss :<
I'd' be the one with the Pistols/Sidearms/Lightweight Weapons... seeing as how I actually fire/use them (Pistols, but who's to say I couldn't fire myself an Assault Carbine) :I
Not to mention; I/someone ingenious enough and not procrastinate could take the time to Build a rudimentary Rig that goes along said arm (Body part), and allow minimization of the Recoil + allows one to fire with 1 hand... plus you never have to let go of the gun ;D

Assuming everything is checked off the list, I'm either going up north toward a more rural, empty area, most likely somewhere like Yellowknife... or the Green Belt. OR, the group could stay AND control a local Supermarket, most likely a Wal-mart, as they now sell Fresh Produce. Holy shit.
Not to mention pretty much everything else.
Also, keep in mind, unlike everywhere else, Canada, is a BIIIIIG OPEN SPACE, to which, even though it seems like Canadians are EVERYWHERE in Canada, there's really only POCKETS of Densely Occupied space, and that's like, close to rivers and water bodies and such. If I decided to go Rural...

But assuming I am within the confines of a barricaded Super Duper Mart, I will stay, and listen in if they plan to nuke the area. Then I'll accept my fate, as I didn't plan on running around and killing so much as a rule-free life, something unbound to the confines of everyday living. I can sit on my ass all month playing the Xbox on a free 120-inch 3DTV of my choice, Eat from a f-uckload of anything I please, and still have the ability to stay fit. I can run around the fucking store while playing 1980s Rock music in my undies and no one will give infinite shits... except those in the store. But I don't think they'll mind. Hell they might even join in.
There would be no more goals. You'd make your own. I'd make mine asdf.
