How come people find Amensia soo scary?

Like shit, I've played the game for a few hours...in the dark. I got chills down my spine when the enemy appears, but I've never actually came close to shitting bricks. I've been watching a few videos highlighting the scariest parts liek this:

But the worse that I get...is shivers down my spine. Can someone atleast post a video where the scariest of the scary occurs? Because if the slenderman story makes me shit bricks and a game can't, then I dunno what does.

The scariest thing will be you panicking because you don't know if something is going to come out of that door-ect.

It depends what kind of scares get to you. If you're the type who likes cheap scares when something just pops out of you, (like me), amnesia won't do it for you.

If you're the type who like the atmosphere, tension, ect, of horror games, Amensia, Silent Hill, and Penumbra are the games for you.

you need to actually be into the game, and know what is going on. I guarantee the tings that pop out of nowhere will scare the living shit out of you, and if you say they don't, then you are just trying to act like a tough guy...

Although i have been playing penumbra, and that isn't as scary as Amnesia was.

I'm not trying to be an internet tuff guy or anything saying that shit doesn't scare me, I legitly do not get scared when things like that pop out of random. Like I said, I've played the game for a few hours in the dark. Stuff did pop-out and I did jump, but I don't think it went on the scaring the living shit out of me scale.
