I've been playing this online MMo called Wurm Online, it's pretty damn cool, it has a free server (with limits + the map is really small) but the prem servers only cost about $15 US dollars. (the game is swedish but its in english dont worry, its in euros which confuses me).

Wurm is basicly a much less gayer version of WoW, there is some magic but its not as pretty as it is in WoW I admit, it is still in beta and a java run game, also I think minecraft got alot of their ideas from this game! (ALSO EVERYTHING IN THE BELOW PICTURES - EXEPT FOR THE LANDSCAPE OF COURSE IS PLAYER MADE!)

Thats what the free server is for :) (but its limited, for example the skill system goes to skill 99.99 (why not 100 idk) but on the free they can only go up to 20 max. Here is a complete list of them the ones with + have subcategories, these are the main ones

tried it. sucks.
1) the public servers are full and theres like nowhere to settle down without being within a town or another house
2) everything takes literally forever, like a week just to make a damn clay bowl
3) low level players cant kill a wolf for shit, trust me i tried i had trouble with a deer (and since when to deer attack)
4) the only way you'll get through the night is to have a higher level person with you

with #4 i may be willing to pick it back up because besides those and the common glitches (3D java engine sucks terribly), if you have others it can get pretty fun. if you tell me your name and where to find you in the game i might play.
