Seriously.
Don't.
._.
I only asked if that Video card would last me for the next year or so. I didn't want this to turn into a stupid argument because people are reading into things too much. Relax bro :c
I would pull the "YOU DON'T KNOW ME" card, but it's pointless.
Lock topic before any other shit stirs up, I don't want to be the cause of another flame war.

I apologize if it seemed I was accusing you of anything, that isn't my intention.
You said you wanted a computer that would A. last you till the end of high school, and B. capable of moderate video editing.
In addition You also said you had no steady source of income.
I'm just telling you how you a reasonable method you can get one, nothing more, nothing less.
I was slightly irked about the whole "Like I'd ever do something like that" attitude.
The main reason being, is I've been in your exact same position when I was a kid.
I really wanted a blow-gun (they are badass), Main problem was they cost ~$200 + darts and stuff. I also didn't have any money to buy it with.
So I mowed lawns. And these are Alaskan Lawns, which generally are 2+ Acres, and on the side of a hill. Not all that fun. But I did it anyway, and didn't get my blowgun.
Instead I got a paintball gun :D

I also attempted this as well, didn't pay that well, but I think that was more of a case of location (we kinda set it up on a steep hill, but there was a pull off so...)

$500 for 34 hours of work?
That's $14.70 an hour, that freeking over twice minimum wage.
What the heck are you complaining about. Your realize the standard work week is 40 hours right?
I got paid $20-50 a house, but it took anywhere from 3-8 hours to do a house, and your complaining about 20 min. Get out. Now.
You realize people in Mexico work all day for around $10, then they feed their family of 7 with that. I know this because I built a house for a guy as part of missionary work who had to live like this.

this
SO HARD.

Ehh, I guess I'm guilty of reading into it too much. :L No hard feelings?
I was slightly irked about the whole "Like I'd ever do something like that" attitude.
Wasn't trying to give you that impression. I've done odd jobs, like you've said. Last year, I designed the website for my local street fair for a hefty 100$ (Had to keep it managed, as it was semi-annual, as in updating photos and stuff). I just feel my time would be better spent to something of my skill as opposed to "mowing yards".
So I mowed lawns. And these are Alaskan Lawns, which generally are 2+ Acres, and on the side of a hill.
Ohshi--
Most people here prefer to cut it themselves anyways, seeing as the yards themselves are tiny.

Also, about the lemonade stand,
That would only work if I can get my 5 year old brother to sell it for me ._.
Everyone would buy from an adorable little kid, not from some random teenager :L
Also, rereading this, I can see how I'd come off with the "like I'd ever do that" attitude that you put it in. Try something like "Why do this, when I can do this, which would be easier and be something I enjoy?". I know that's everyone's goal, but I'm actually on track of doing it. c:
