I had an add-on for gamecube which let me play Gameboy Advance games on it. You can also use it to get Tingle to help you in LoZ: Wind Wakers

There was an article in the LA Times about this today... said that some credit card numbers may have been stolen, I don't  know about it though.

BTW isn't anon. that group affiliated with wikileaks in some way?

yes

got an email from sony today:

Quote
Valued PlayStation Network/Qriocity Customer:

We have discovered that between April 17 and April 19, 2011, certain PlayStation Network and Qriocity service user account information was compromised in connection with an illegal and unauthorized intrusion into our network. In response to this intrusion, we have:

1)     Temporarily turned off PlayStation Network and Qriocity services;

2)     Engaged an outside, recognized security firm to conduct a full and complete investigation into what happened; and

3)     Quickly taken steps to enhance security and strengthen our network infrastructure by re-building our system to provide you with greater protection of your personal information.

We greatly appreciate your patience, understanding and goodwill as we do whatever it takes to resolve these issues as quickly and efficiently as practicable.

Although we are still investigating the details of this incident, we believe that an unauthorized person has obtained the following information that you provided: name, address (city, state/province, zip or postal code), country, email address, birthdate, PlayStation Network/Qriocity password and login, and handle/PSN online ID. It is also possible that your profile data, including purchase history and billing address (city, state, zip), and your PlayStation Network/Qriocity password security answers may have been obtained. If you have authorized a sub-account for your dependent, the same data with respect to your dependent may have been obtained. While there is no evidence that credit card data was taken at this time, we cannot rule out the possibility.  If you have provided your credit card data through PlayStation Network or Qriocity, to be on the safe side we are advising you that your credit card number (excluding security code) and expiration date may have been obtained.

For your security, we encourage you to be especially aware of email, telephone, and postal mail scams that ask for personal or sensitive information. Sony will not contact you in any way, including by email, asking for your credit card number, social security, tax identification or similar number or other personally identifiable information. If you are asked for this information, you can be confident Sony is not the entity asking.  When the PlayStation Network and Qriocity services are fully restored, we strongly recommend that you log on and change your password.  Additionally, if you use your PlayStation Network or Qriocity user name or password for other unrelated services or accounts, we strongly recommend that you change them, as well.

To protect against possible identity theft or other financial loss, we encourage you to remain vigilant to review your account statements and to monitor your credit or similar types of reports.

We thank you for your patience as we complete our investigation of this incident, and we regret any inconvenience.  Our teams are working around the clock on this, and services will be restored as soon as possible. Sony takes information protection very seriously and will continue to work to ensure that additional measures are taken to protect personally identifiable information. Providing quality and secure entertainment services to our customers is our utmost priority.  Please contact us at www.eu.playstation.com/psnoutage should you have any additional questions.

Sincerely,
Sony Network Entertainment and Sony Computer Entertainment Teams

Sony Network Entertainment Europe Limited (formerly known as PlayStation Network Europe Limited) is a subsidiary of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe Limited the data controller for PlayStation Network/Qriocity personal data

Yes they are, but Anon has taken down A LOT of things. Including a part of Egypt's government internets.

You know i remember when it was impossible for any console to access internet... Hell i remember before people actually started useing the internet... ahh simple times...

But srsly yes lets bring down one of the console games internet... But I'm going to laugh when Sony just says  "Fuck it now no console released after this date will allow internet access" lets see how you guys take it then...

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

But Back on topic I'd actually love to see Sony make just like... Cutting edge Machines meant for just 'Core Games' that don't need/can't use THE INTERNET, and then Sony can now actually just focus on teh content of the game/Console and create something amazing... it would be a new feeling. Fresh, even. Could you imagine a game that takes advantage of every square inch of the PS3 or any future machine? Or even a console MEANT to let that happen? And Technology can still get smaller, imagine...

Instead of wasting some resources on things like Internet Cards, and how we'll make sure this and that works over a long distance, and downloadble content and IDs and blah blah blah... we have the technology. We have the Capability. The only thing holding 'us' back is the fact that we keep fixing and working on things that are small.

Be honest now. The internet is virtual. You can't hold Metaphysical Youtube ITSELF in your hands, but you can have it being accessed by a Iphone or some shit.
And the Internet is always changing. Evolving.

A giant mass of omniscient, omnipresent minds working alongside eachother doing god knows what at random... mostly porn and cats but that's besides the point.

Why try to control/fix something that technically doesn't exist as a machine itself does? Can you fix something if the problem keeps changing or growing incredibly fast, and finds ways to stop you from fixing it, dare I say, think for itself and maybe even bite the hand that feeds it?

By the logic that fixing the small things like the Inter-connectivity of the Ps3 is important rather than the things that prevent that ability from being abused, is basically telling me that having a harmless laser to lock your door instead of a bunch of TITANIUM LOCKS Gilded all over fucking 2 sets of metal slabs considered 'doors' is going to keep a dude with a crowbar away from your valuables...

A Harmless, laser-pointer laser. All that stands between you and the outside world.

Just... that...

No.

So now I would realize that if Sony focused on it's console and not SOCUIL MEDIUH N HOW DIS NU STFF WRK HOW I DO and focused on the PS3's GODDAMN SECURITY then no one would have ended up in their individual places in the first place, the first Hackerdude would have never hacked it successfully, he would have never gotten sued, Sony wouldn't be getting kicked in the balls by 'anon' AND possibly sued by many small or large parties (angry lawyers 'who own that shit up'?), PS3 ppl would be playing CoD/anyothergameonPS3, and Sony Employees wouldn't currently be getting kicked out of their Mother's house/Girlfriend's apartment/Rundown Condo/Fancy mansion.

And then everyone would still have the PSN Network to play on, considering the problem could be averted just by tweaking the machine.

I agree. I like to see Sony make another console without internet access or actually any console makers. The internet is like a god to everyone and they think they need all its extra features.
