Anyway.
So some time ago, my laptop broke down completely and I ended up having to install a new Windows 7, which I bought in the UK. All internet connections worked fine over there. Now the problem is ... I moved back to Switzerland, and my Laptop doesn't seem to like the internet over here whatsoever.
Everytime I plug it in (it runs over Lan cables with a router set up to the modem, blabla), the laptop gets stuck at identifying and eventually gives up with it. I have tried to google this, but all the solutions I found so far didn't work.
I have tried to connect the laptop directly to the Modem, which worked fine ... The only problem was that no other computer could connect to it anymore then for some weird reason. I have tried several different adapters and stuff, but everything brings up the same error.
Now, in risk of sounding like a total noob, does the (language) version of Windows actually make a difference to what internet you can connect to? Because I certainly don't have any other explanation of this. ._.
And more importantly, does any of you fine gentlemen happen to know a solution to this?
