I did the port forwarding and everything, but it still didn't work. I had a unique issue.

Every time I put my IP in the .properties file, running the minecraft_server.exe would say that there was already a server running on that IP address.

And setting the IP to being static fucked up the internet connection.

You don't need to put your IP in the properties file.

It's only if you're running a dedicated server box with multiple IP addresses, not a home line with a single IP.
