How is this done so it notices his boxed CS:S as a steam game?

Add non-steam game in library. Works on many games that are on Steam already. Except BFBC2  :(.

Wat. Umad Cogs. you have to put the key in Activate a Steam game. Because you gave the CSS example.

Well. I was right and wrong. For CSS, you have to go to the thing at the bottom that says add game and hit activate a game on steam. This is for CSS. Adding non-steam games is for most other games.

Cogs, I think your wrong.
I bought CS:S (along with DoD, and Hl2dm) from walmart on my birthday a long ass time ago.
All i did was click on

Select your CS:S and just enter the CD key.

installed, ran /not/ using steam, uninstalled, reinstalled, problem
