Trying to make a Minecraft server...

...and I can't seem to find a way to make my player admin. I'm setting it up on a friend's computer because I can't on my own computer.

How do I make my account an admin? Will making an admin.txt and putting my account name in solve that?

Download "Bukkit" and google some tutorials.

You won't get admin functions like before but open the OP text file and add your name there. if you want groups and shit you have to get Bukkit then get the plugins "Permissions" and "General" if you want warps IE: /warp home, /warp spawn you'll have to get another plugin called "warps"
