Projects. Seriously. Teachers give out projects that have little to no relevance to the class in general just for their own amusement of how hard we worked to get a satisfying mark. For instance, we had just finished our English novel that told the story of a Chinese immigrant and she tells us that we are going to have a project. Details later emerge, explaining that the assignment was a video/live performance that showed a little history about our parents.
I look at this and I went: What the hell. Making a video about the history of our parents, what does that have to do with learning sentence structure and expanding vocabulary? Yes, it has relevance to the book, but reading the book is part of class; it adds to your reading and writing skills and allows you to learn new things. What things will you learn from asking your parents about their history that will affect your literary skills in any way?
Projects = wastes time, nothing learned.
/rantRetards. They won't calm the fuck down. The most rowdy students are 99% of the time either failing, or close to failing. With this, they ignore everything that the teacher says during a lecture and disrupts the class with their screwing around. They annoy the teacher, which pauses the lesson, which affects how effective we learn; you can't learn as well if the explanation to a lesson is interrupted every few seconds for the teacher to calm them down.
Alright, you're gonna fail high shool and live in a box, fine. But leave the rest of us who actually want to have a home in the future alone you idiots.
