Best Photo Editor?

Thread is pretty self explanatory. I want everyone's opinion on their favourite photo editor.
I also don't mean for making graphics from scratch, I mean actually just editing a photo taken from a camera.

(editor can be pingas'd or not, I just need to find a good editor for the pictures I take with my Nikon)

Gimp and Photoshop are virtually the same thing. The only difference is you don't have to pingaz Gimp.

Well.. Photoshop is confusing to me since I didn't start out using it. Try Macromedia Fireworks 8, or the new Adobe Fireworks CS5. There pretty much the same.

Sabb: oh when'd you get there!?
...
Sabb: That was embarrassing.
