Screen resolution

My computer automaticly sets the screen resolution to 1024x720 or something when i get it out of standby mode :/
normally its 1440x900, and i have to re-set it manually, is there any way to prevent this from happening, or have something that automaticly sets it to 1440x900?
thx

Thats kinda odd of a problem... Are you sure your applying the changes? make sure you always click apply before you click ok. then restart and see if it worked...

Or if you have multi users you'd have to go into the root admin and change the settings and apply. the problem could be causd by other users having diffeent setings.

You've tried updating your display drivers right?

Also, and I know it sounds strange, but try changing your screen saver to "blank". Vista tries to adjust the resolution to fit the program. If your screen saver prefers a lower resolution, it'll change to that before going into sleep mode. When it "wakes up", it forgets to change it back.

Well i think you dont know it, its a Medion
this is the only info i can find, its french
http://www.medion.de/md8822/be_fr/_content/zusprodukte/index.html

Also : i sometimes get a notice, that the screen doesnt support the video card and it says to change it in the graphics card's menu...
i change it there but it never saves even if i click apply and ok.
