How fast do you think they worked to scramble this shit up after Overwatch was released and slaughtered their playerbase?

Well from the charts i dont think the playerbase got affected at all and with the new competitive update, i think people will start playing it again along with myself.

and the competitive update has been in works for several years already since forever, so valve hasn't "scrambled this shit up" and moreso worked on it for the past few years.

They only lost -1,630 since Overwatch release, I doubt that OW had much of an effect on TF, if at all.

I remember a few days ago I was playing competitive overwatch when one of the people on my team randomly DCed after we completed the first half (we were on Kings Row and we got the payload to the end). He comes back a minute later and we hold the enemy team to the second point. Everything was normal until I got to the screen which shows your rank move up and down after a match. It only moved an inch even though we won fair and square (playing 5v6 for like a full minute too).

Overwatch's ranking system is bad. It focuses too much on team performance and too little on individual performance. The only way to really go up in rankings is either to be just THAT good or only play with a full team of people you know. Also, the coin flip shit is fucking terrible.

When I made this post I didn't really make it based on the competitive ironically enough, I just made it based on Overwatch v TF2 and TF2 trying to release new content to compete with the release of OW not the release of their competitive mode. I don't actually like Overwatches competitive, I don't even play it lol. I just watch Patrick play it. I prefer just the normal modes which at least I still have more fun with over TF2.
