PC likes to stutter

For some reason and lately and more frequently, my games stutter after about 10 minutes of playing them, especially source games. I still get 100+ fps but it stutters like hell and the sound skips/pops. I'm pretty sure all my drivers are up to date and my hardware is more than enough to handle it. I have to restart my computer that magically fixes it somehow. I would like some help on this :(

Every time you download Garry's Mod illegally, Garry makes a bug.

When people ask me "Plz" because its shorter than "Please" I feel perfectly justified to answer "No" because its shorter than "Yes".

CPU: i7 870
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 5770
RAM: 8 GB

Idle temps
CPU: 35 C
GPU: 50 C

Game temps (max)
CPU: 45 C
GPU: 84 C

Doesn't seem to happen recently as much as before but I would still like to get to the bottom of this if it occurs again.

Gpu kind of high but not horrible, temps could have changed?

Could be a resource conflict, running Windows 7? 8? 8.1?
