I graduate from high school on Thursday. These past four years have been somewhat chaotic, because I've done so many things I've never done before. Then, I moved from Virginia to Texas between my Junior and Senior year, leaving all of my great friends I've had since Freshman year. It was rough. But this Thursday, all the feels will take a trip through my body.
It takes a lot for me to cry. I barely teared up during the Senior slideshow. I cried bittersweet tears at the end of To the Moon. I will probably cry at graduation.
It's just... emotional, to look at how how quickly the past four years have gone by, and all of the things that had happened. People talk about how quickly time flies, and once you're about as old as a Senior in High School, you begin to see that the passage of time is actually much faster than it was when you were a child. It's pretty emotional.
Then you start to think, "I'm barely a fifth of the way through my expected life," and that really makes you think about the rest of your life...
I'm about to take a huge step going from High School to College, and it's scary, but exciting.
So, here's to the class of 2014!
