Option to not gain new post notifications in "blacklisted" threads?

Basically, since I use the "Show unread posts since last visit." Button alot, I would like an option to stop receiving new posts for this, for example, say I don't want any new post notifications from "League Of Legends General" Nothing against the poster, I'm just not interested in the posts.
I was thinking about this for a while if it's a good idea or not, so I might get flak for this.because it's the internet

Right, okay.
That only works to threads that I posted on, I don't post on every single thread on this forum, I quickly browse through to see what is going on.
And I don't want to say some bullshit post saying something stupid (knowing I will) and start some "UMG U R DUM" argument.

I too have that problem.  I would like to be able to look through the unread posts, but it's littered with stuff I don't really care about, like the newest lines of code out there.  I have found that I just scroll to the bottom and look at the most recent posts, but I'm too lazy to overlook the stuff I don't want to read.  So yeah, if possible, I'd like this.
