Source SDK probs... AGAIN.

Monorail Cat:
Ok, now, Source SDK will open, but when I try to open Hammer Editor, it just doesn't do anything.  SDK stays open, but Hamer never loads and opens.

I've validated, and I've reinstalled, and I've validated again.

Any ideas?

coolzeldad:
I think it depends on the game.

You can subscribe to the sdktools_beta in the properties of the game.

After it downloads the tools just go to "D:\Programs\Steam\SteamApps\common\Counter-Strike Source\bin" (example) and launch Hammer.bat

This is currently available to TF2, CSS, and DODS I believe.

That's how it used to be but I haven't worked with it since.

Monorail Cat:
Well, I don't want to subscribe to a beta, because I don't want to risk ruining my map or anything (unrealistic probability, but eh.  I'm also lazy.)  The thing is, though, i'm loading it as Source Engine MP and CS:S as my game, but it won't work...

It would be harder to fix it.
Just do what Coolz quoted.

Monorail Cat:
Ok, I checked for a beta for SDK, but there is none.  So, I went to the next step.  I found the Hammer.exe in the cs:s folder, but it's saved to separate configs.  Is there a way to extract the config I had previously and import it into the "cs:s hammer" config?  Or would that mess a lot of stuff up?
