I'm still alive. Just broken.

Maybe because I didn't feel like typing out an essay on what most people imply when someone mentions "weed". But claiming it as "Physically Harmless" when used responsible can go into such a wide array of circumstances, that it's very debatable on wither or not it's harmless. But as stated, rather not derail the thread with this.

And i don't really see what we can do besides give our opinions, unless you wanna drive to where he lives or something similar.

People can't just decide to be depressed or not. They BECOME depressed. Go easy on him frostbound, it's a time where a person feels like they're helpless and can't do anything about it.
If need be Hapless, we're here for you. Sorry for all these events to happen to you.

although i understand and know many people who fit the stereotype you're invoking, my point was that the comment was completely unnecessary and kind of just a broad ad hominem in nature
i don't understand what you're referring to with "wide array of circumstances" and it sounds like you're trying to just leave room for an imaginary scenario in which it's somehow detrimental to one's health
the idea of that statement itself is ridiculous because "responsible use" implies that you're using it in a non-harmful way to begin with
either way it doesn't really matter to me as long as the end result is positive
--- Quote from: Sabb on September 27, 2013, 09:08:29 PM ---Would just like to put this out there that if you're to experience ACTUAL withdrawal from weed (not breaking a psychological dependency habit), which is possible from my understanding, then you've got some serious issues and must have way more weed than you know what to do with. Either way withdrawal from weed is a walk in the park compared to what most people associate withdrawal symptoms to. I really wouldn't be concerned with him going through actual withdrawal.
--- End quote ---
"actual withdrawal" like with hard drugs isn't really what i'm worried about, but it's been shown that people who smoke weed regularly and in large doses usually experience mild to moderate symptoms like irritability, etc. upon cessation which he probably doesn't need to deal with if he already has a lot of problems on hand
man
dreary, just try to find things that cheer you up and identify the things you can and cannot do to help your situation
try to pay attention to this picture instead:

Whether
as in whether or not that statement's true, I agree that it has little place in this thread.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)To expand a bit on what I said previously for you personally mcdreary, I personally have no issues with weed but I think maybe in a post like this you'd like to hold back on mentioning it a tad? To avoid such discussions. And to maybe discourage some negative opinions that have been mentioned. Unless you actually want to discuss it. As someone else said though, we can't really find a miracle solution for your situation unless you just want to talk to someone about it and get it all out. Not to criticize your coping methods, but I do suggest going to a therapist if that's the case. Not that what you're doing is wrong, but whereas on a forum like this we would simply be more of an ear without much to say in useful advice, a therapist would do the same yet be able to make more educated suggestions with how you cope. Ofc if you can't afford it or are strongly against it but it's something to think about, not to be too cliche.
All I can say though is that you'll want to figure out when it's time to give up on anything that's becoming normal to you, but know how and where to move on before you jump the fence. Don't sit on it for to long waiting though. I think that applies to your situation in several ways.

"Wide array of circumstances" as in, other people have different ideas of what is considered responsible use, whether it be once in a blue moon, once in a while, once a week, once a day ect, along with how said person acts while under the influence.
