Anyone Help me diagnose this?

I have agonising sensitive skin around the back of my waist, my shoulder blade area and around every join on my limbs. It feels like fire burning through me and i can barely focus on any work. I can barely sleep and often wake in between 1-2 hours of what sleep i can get cold sweats. I feel extreemly cold when i move about and always wrap up in a jacket and dressing gown even though its early autumn. My hands feel cold and numb, often i rub them together to warm up. I've researched it and leaning towards the medical disorder: Fibromyalgia

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fibromyalgia

Note this is a self diagnosis and i will visit my doctor in 2 weeks time, but i just need some help with this. Painkillers don't do anything and this is getting on my nerves and affecting my school performance.

Any help is appreciated.

First question:

Are you a trained certified doctor? No?

Then stop trying to self diagnose, doctors go to school for 9 years to be properly trained in diagnosing diseases; So I am sorry The Google isn't going to be your friend in this case. All you will do is turn yourself into a hypochondriac, and try to convince the doctor that you have some esoteric disease.

Those symptoms you described can be any number of diseases, not just fibromyalgia. It could be chemical, viral, bacterial, fungal, insect bites w/e, and for something like this 2 weeks is too long to wait to see what it is, and go on 1-2 hours of sleep, all you are going to do is exasperate the condition, and if it actually is a serious condition these things tend to have windows where treating it is much easier.

If you are having such serious symptoms don't wait 2 weeks. Call your doctor and tell him what is happening over the phone and see what he says. If he refuses to talk to you get a new goddam doctor.

Seriously, what you described can be anything from metal fume fever, to the regular flu, numerous common diseases, so just talk to your doctor.

Self-diagnosing is like someone going up to me and suggesting dimethlmercury would make a great rocket propellant. I would look at them like they have been huffing paint. But most people unless they are chemists wouldn't really know why that would be bad.

I acknowldege this but the fact that i have had 3 crap doctors in a row that did complete jack to help me with my skin conditions that is forever changing is driving me to the point where i can either help my self and research similair cases of what i am experiencing or go to the A&E section of my local hospital and have anti biotics and sterioids be pumped into me. Maybe saying self diagnosis was a step ahead, what i meant was that i was LEANING towards a particular ailement that has similair symptons which i have experiened include extreme anxiety (awaiting exam results), extreme stress (Doing exams and finding out exam results etc.) and general signs of depression. I'm already on a course of Medication beforehand that is meant to treat my Atopic Eczema and it reads that it does lower the immune system meaning i'm more prone to infection. I still have this stupid Small Fungus infection on my ear lobes which secrete a small amount of fluid when i itch them or put headphones for prolonged times. In case you weren't aware, i have had numerous multiple skin Afflictions, Respiratory Afflictions and a long list of Allergies over the course of the near 17 years of my life. I think you would be quite desperate to do anything in this case when you are the crucial part of your life that will fuck up just because your body goes and dies on you.

Unless you have other instances of fibromyalsia in your family I highly doubt that is the disease. Fibromyalsia is a genetic disorder of the nervous system. I was severely warning you against attempting to diagnose yourself by symptoms, as it is an very unreliable way to diagnose a disease. The reason being many diseases have a similar set of symptoms. Even then, the same person might not have all of the symptoms, or might have some extra symptoms that someone else doesn't have. Hence my statement that self-diagnosis tends to only make you stress out.

I also have eczema, have had it since I was a kid, I don't know how bad yours is, but to treat mine all they did was give me some steroid creme, and have me use more lotion.

For the ear fungus usually minor surface fungal infections can be effectively fought using lamasil or some other athletes foot creme.

Honestly your acheing and chills symptoms sounds more like the flu from your run-down immune system.

Your stress is likely aggravating many of the ailments you have, I know from personal experience large amounts of stress can wreck shop on your body. Try to find ways to reduce your stress levels, or at least don't stress yourself out waiting for exam results. Once you take an exam there is no point in stressing about it, what is done is done, and you will just have to work with what results you get.

What are you talking about?
