Obama decides to strike Syria, seeks congressional approval
Obama finally decided to help his Al Qaeda allies in Syria, what a surprise... Frankly speaking I don't think the congress will prevent this because Iran has been in US target list since long time ago because of greatest ally Israel  (Syria and Iran are great allies so attack on Syria is actually an in-direct attack on Iran). What's even better is that both, Iran and Syria are allies with Russia and China and they have clearly stated that they will not tolerate such an attack but wait there's more:
All-Out War? Iran vows 'immediate destruction' of Israel if Syria attacked

I think it would be best to wait for what the UN thinks about this cause it seems the US is going at this almost alone (UK and NATO not participating except France). The US is going to be led in another long-term war if Iran and others retaliate. It's like we never learned our lesson from the still on going war "on Terror".

Except this time it has the potential to escalate into WW3. I shit you not if you have been following recent events than this idea doesn't look crazy at all.

Honestly I think that a war seems rather pointless at the moment, and would lead to more destruction then any good really. I don't necessarily think Obama's reasoning for going to war is a bad thing, if anything I find it completely understandable since they did use chemical weapons in the attack which is prohibited by international terms(which is a threat to national security), but I don't think it'll change anything, at least not now. The outcomes of pressing the attack seems to be a huge risk for more than just America. For now I think they should just leave it, though a lot of people died, and it's a horrible outcome; I feel that if they wait it out, and more problems arise, more countries would be willing to press the attack with America, rather than thinking the idea is kind of sudden.

If there's a draft with WWIII breaking out, I'm done. I'm moving to Mexico. Not supporting this country any longer.

Britain backed down from supporting the US if action is to be taken, and France is now supporting the US.

There is no proof that Assad's regime used those weapons, in fact there were some reports previously made by UN which stated that it was the Syrian rebels but those were dismissed as inaccurate. On top of that Assad is currently winning the fight against FSA and I'm sure that he's not a complete idiot so whats the point for him to use chemical weapons at this situation? If you look into this situation such chemical attack is very beneficial to the FSA(Al-Qaeda being one of the main forces) because they would receive US military support so the chances are far greater that they were the ones who used the chemical weapons.

Why not Canada?

The best way to deal with your problems is to plant a C4 in close proximity to it.

Well then it's even more of a reason for America to hold the attack until otherwise (otherwise being, the learn more information about the attack before acting so suddenly on such limited information). I still don't think they, or any country for that matter, should let Syria become chaos if things continue happening though. Which is why waiting instead of just deciding not to act period, would be the best bet, in my opinion.

Sometimes leaders of countries do stupid things, it's not necessarily that they're an idiot, and things like this shouldn't be tolerated so taking the government completely out of the equation for being responsible is not something that should be done right off the bat. I still stand by that they should wait and see what happens. If this all starts to point towards rebels, then of course it wouldn't become as much a national mess, but it'd still be something that needs to be dealt with.

There are United States national interests at work here using the chemical warfare as cover.

The countries not supporting this realize this, how nasty war gets when you are trying to hide the real reasons, and how nasty war gets in that territory.

National interests are usually good for the longevity of America's prosperity, but at what cost would this be. Not only to their forces but also from the collateral damage of war in surrounding countries which would further deface the United States government in the eyes of others and its own people as well.

From a strategic standpoint I do not think it is the right time to move but I would not know what the United States government has been monitoring inside those countries that makes them so quick to act.

Regardless this event is planned, has been for awhile, and is not as simple as the news makes it seem.

The United States government, mainly congress as the president is a figurehead/scapegoat for them and the judicial branch has no power to enforce by itself, is not stupid and would not make a move like this upon limited information. It just seems that way to people who are not given the full story.

I find it funny how they want to attack Syria, knowing that their ally Israel would get most of the heat.

Fallout here we come....Though I might need to go over to some distant, safe place if I want to survive =\

Russia delayed them until mid 2014 I think. Syria haven't actually received them.
