So I've noticed this with DarkRP

I know this stuff started quiet a while ago, but holy hell, every DarkRP server I join, the tools are always restricted to Donators/Admins. Almost every, god damn semi-productive tool, you cannot use without "hey guise plz donate $20 first". Special tools and easily mingeable tools I can understand, but a tool like Axis? Apart from all the other shit DarkRP has permanently burned onto its name, the potential to do something actually creative and fun in DarkRP is really narrowed down now that servers have adopted this custom. It gets even more boring/narrowed down when the big gmod community servers come into play (everyone donates for admin nowadays). I find it just complete crap that sever owners keep pushing these stupid initiatives on a server they can't support themselves, but rather rely on donations for (which isn't such a good idea in the first place). Those have been the downfall of so many actually fun gmod servers and the owners usually blame the community for not enough donations.

If they were desperate for money in the first place, why would they bother spending $25 a month on a gmod server instead of straightening out their life priorities?

I always felt our server could do DarkRP better. Unfortunately, the gamemode has too many exploits, and isn't really being considered. DarkRP draws so many people (maybe not always the best people, but people none the less) and I always found it to be very fun. I can only imagine how we'd make it work, especially without all the donation bullshit.

Well to me the whole point of Any RP is to troll basically I go into peoples buidlings kill them with a gun take there money die and restart.

one time I got elected into metro police or whatever it is and I started going into gangster territories and fucking people up it was really fun.

But yeah Dark RP now day's is just broken, Corrupt, and not fun to play 0/10.

Honestly most GMOD Servers for any kind of game always have spam things asking for donations.

I remember telling people on TS3 about the server I went on to one day out of boredom. Where if you donated money, you would get more credits as D/T. You would Light Saber which killed people like in 2 hits. You would get a name that would flash raindbow colors on the tab button (Which fucked up knowing who was a D kinda... or knowing who the fuck your T buddies were.)

This is one of the few servers that don't nag you to death for donating or give you special privileges.

I played on a 24/7 Minecraft TTT server,and it was just horrible.
They suck at catching rule breakers,the admins/vips are always at eachothers throats,random demotions,RDM going on 24/7

I went to a TTT server that was SUPER vanilla. Only thing custom was the motd showing rules and messages once in a while about their website and how to votekick/ban. Though, the RDM fest was off the roof until an admin came.

Here's what I now think. RP is absolute crap where the rules are always different and loopholes are instantly found. A stinking pile of shit which makes you feel more like a slave than anything in the child-ran servers. Laggy with prop spammers and terribly made maps which have only gotten worse since the big update. Just about every RP map I've played has that same cookie-cutter design and ridiculous doors/elevators. Can't forget how the other players/admins don't have the ability to listen to what you say and constantly threaten to ban you for playing properly, though that's impossible when you play with others who want to screw around.

I used to fuck around and team with my mates on huge servers, stealing buses and singing songs while we went on RDM sprees. Admins had a laugh so we didn't really get banned. Now because that's gone RP isn't fun in any way now.
