Just a type of humor, some guys do the same thing saying they have a vagina, though not nearly as much as girls say they have cocks.
The reason people say it, is pretty much, it's funny because it's not true and we know it's not true, so it's silly humor. It's pretty similar to people saying they are black or something when they are not.
