OH GOD TEETH BRACES

<< < (2/3) > >>

○ Μαρία ○:
I had braces for 2 years. I am going to be honest when I say, it's annoying at first, then you get used to it. In fact, I was almost sad taking them off, I had gotten so used to them, I felt like I was going to miss the metal there, since I used to play with it so often. The whole getting them tightened thing, it's more annoying then painful, your mouth will just be sore. At least that's how it was with me.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)You can still eat apples and such, just cut them into small pieces, and you can chew gum, just chew sugarless gum. Cleaning isn't too much of a pain, I am going to be completely honest, I never ever flossed, I still don't I hate flossing with a passion. I just brush my teeth well, my dentists are always impressed with how clean they are, and I'm like "Hah fuck you floss I win again."
I guarantee you'll forget you even have braces after the first month, what's important is that you're still aware they're there so you don't accidentally bite into and apple, or something hard which could break them. I am actually a bit happy, since I have a permanent retainer in my mouth, It's not noticeable, but I can feel it agaisnt my tounge, it bothered me at first, but again with the braces, I've gotten used to it and I can't imagine it not there.

Before and After (Warning I am horrible at smiling ;_;):

I also had an awful overbite, which rubber bands help to fix. They were fun to play with <:

Damn that second picture don't scare me like that, should be a warning.
I think I remember when you first joined RND how you would play with those stupid bands too. Or maybe that was someone else idk think it was you though.

But yea, braces aren't really that horrible. Painful and uncomfortable, mostly uncomfortable imo, but you get used to it. Not too big of a deal really unless you're getting something outside of the standard shiz. Like my brother had to get some weird hooks and shit in his, shit like that's a lot worse and usually takes a lot longer but I don't think you'd be getting something like that sooo be glad.

McDreary The Hapless Hamster:
Didn't help that I have a very tiny mouth XD And somewhat like Marie, I NEVER wore rubber bands... EVER. And they were always like. "You must've worn them every day" And umm. Floss occasionally... Gum disease and shit is bad XD

Cheesy Sandwich:
I had em for 3 years and just got them off like 3 weeks ago. But like Marie said, I felt the same with fact that it would be weird without them there. But it wasn't bad. And what everyone said, the first like week sucks but after that it's ok besides the tightening. There hyoid though, makes yo mouth look pretty after

Cake Faice:
Meh, never had them. I had perfectly straight teeth on my own...until I smacked into someone's head and got my 2 front teeth bent back.
