Nice, my little 17" LCD monitor gave out, so now I have to burn my eyes out at this giant, clunky Dell CRT monitor from the mid 2000's.

Everything is connected to the psu as far as I can tell.

fan 2 seems to be the one that never goes below 55 even at idle but I cannot tell which fan is which.

If your fans are connected directly to the psu then they wont read out their speed into your computer, so they should all say 0 in speedfan.

Fan 2 looks like your north-bridge, since its a small high rpm fan, 52C isn't that abnormal for your north-bridge to run at.

Your psu fan will not read out its speen into your computer as well. I look around, it looks like Corsair added a semi-fanless mode to its PSU's, so it will only run if it needs to. So it should be pretty normal for the fan on your PSU not to run.

It it still isn't running during game usage, its likely that your ambient temps are low enough, or you are just getting enough natural airflow through your psu that it doesn't need to run.

Like I said, generally you should only be concerned about damage occurring if you are seeing temps over 90C, that's when most of your hardware's safety settings are at.

Seems to me like everything on your computer is operating as it should.

Ok, I don't know too much about this so I'm relying on what you've told me.
I tried looking for an answer but I cant seem to find one for this:
At what temperature will the fan start running?

I've heard around 50-60C is when it will turn on for a few minutes.

There is no way for you to measure the internal temperature of your PSU with your computer.
The only way is to measure it externally with a temperature probe or a IR thermometer.

Jim I am 99% sure from what you have told me that your PSU and your computer are working fine.
Unless you are seeing instabilities under extreme load everything is working good.

Your computer is just not loading the PSU very heavily, remember your graphics card calls for a 550 Watt PSU, and you have a 650, the average load you should see is ~400- 450 watts, so even when you are running crysis it still probably isn't loading your computer enough.

So unless you are seeing real problems with the stability of your computer I would just continue on with business as usual.
