Whenever I try to launch GtaIV it will either automatically crash or just not launch so I would really appreciate it if someone could help.

Do you have windows 8? My friend bought it and learned the hard way that it does not support windows 8.

Run as admin? Reinstall? Reinstall DirectX (or whatever GTAIV uses)?

Have you installed any mods at all? Is this a fresh install? Do you have AVG?

This. I'm pretty sure the social launcher is supposed to load up before the game does, then you put in your user and pass. I had a tonne of fucking problems with that social launcher. There might still be a problem with the Windows Live game keys when you sign in to your gamertag, that's another story though.

What version of the game are you playing? If it's Steam verify the cache and all. If you re installed, I feel sorry for you. That's one huge-ass download for the complete game.

Rockstar games are terrible when it comes to the PC. You usually have to go through 6 or so hours of trying fixes just to get it to start up.

Oops thanks for catching that and no I have not and the cpu I have is amd 7870 ghz edition GDDR5
