Communism. The ideas of a lunatic or that of a visionary. Communism is the brain-child of Karl Marx who believed in a world of equality he created a political system that is the complete opposite of Capitalism and called it Communism. Communism’s main idea is equal wealth and power for all of its members, the idea looks amazing at a first look but it does not take a genius to see that communism is seriously flawed. For a system like communism requires a leader that is trustable, honest and fair but a leader requires a higher power to control its followers. The leader’s power corrupts the whole idea of equality, is a man with complete control over a nation of equality the same as its inhabitants? This is a major flaw for communism as all sense of equality is lost. Communism was actually never used in any government; the communist nations of today are all socialist. This means that communism did not catch on, it did not work. Marxists believe that “communism can only start when the entire world is socialist” but the world needs a leader with full control and it is human nature for us to get greedy, powerful and rich. The common man will not turn down money when the opportunity comes.
We can’t ever hope to stray away from what is natural to us. Most people believe in the “survival of the fittest”, that to get through life you have to be better than others. We are not equal, if I have no arms and you have the normal two, are we equal? Is the fact that me being armless and not being able to do that things you can fair? So how are we ever going to be the same as each other, “everyone is unique in every way” is a common saying but uniqueness is not the same as being equal it is the same as being different.
The payment system for communism promotes and pays laziness. The fact being that everyone gets the same payment causes people to believe in the idea that they should not work so hard if they are getting paid the exact same as their neighbour who may work as a janitor. A doctor who saves lives every day will get the same pay as a man who sits at home resting, relaxing and basically not doing any work at all. For that reason communism ruins all sense of ambition and inventiveness for its followers will know that whatever job they chose they will get the same pay as a man who does not work at all. In capitalist nations, people want to work in garbage disposal because they have needed level of skill and education; they get paid the amount that seems just. If the same nation was under communist rule then the same people would be able to choose an easier or harder job no matter what level of skill or education they have and would still be paid the same as everyone else. Communism in large areas causes people to not know if another person is doing their equal share of the workload or if they are not getting their fair share, these results in laziness. This is another one of communism’s many flaws.
Communism is said to work in small communities, like a village or family. For everyone knows each other, they know each other’s likes, dislikes and how much work everyone contributes. Though communism will never work in places like America or Europe, for they are too large and accustomed to the use of capitalism, the leader of a nation cannot remember the names of all who live within it. Modern cities and towns grow and get larger, people get jobs and get paid for the required skill their jobs need. Those who work as a waiter will not get as much as those who work as lawyers, that is the system of today and that is where the idea of “survival of the fittest” applies. So communism can never be incorporated into a capitalist world.

Communism is definitely the ideas of a daydreamer, I think communism is unfinished, unperfected, that Karl Marx thought of Humans as not being the ‘evil’ people that we are. The whole fairness for all idea seems great until you realise the many holes in his idea, the world cannot be equal. A man of old age cannot do the same things that a younger man can. The payment system is one that creates slackers and ruins all need for hard work. So the ideas of communism will never apply to the modern world, it is just too hard for us to ever be equal to one another. Communism is the idea of a lunatic.
