Can you name one thing wrong with being a nerd?

People say being a nerd is a bad thing. I can give you some things about it that are good.

1. Most nerds are smarter and get better grades.

2. With a good school record you have a better chance at getting a great career.

3. With that good career you make more money.


Sure some nerds get hated and "outcasted". But you're probably damn smarter than they are.
And... "Hey, nerd, pal, what's the answer for ..."


Back on subject, can you even think of one BAD reason about being a nerd?

Well if you're this guy who knows a lot but doesn't socialize too much, you can lose some jobs and opportunity's for not having the ability to sympathize.

If you're a guy who sits in front of the computer literally everyday 10+ hours and do no exercise at all, that can bring bad consequences.

true, but that's the stereotypical nerd. I've met only one of those. I'm a nerd, I do loads of exercise, I socialize a lot and I'm top of my class.

What planet are you in? NERD is the new cool thing, oops I mean "nerd" aka people who play COD, watch TV, go to the movies, read a book, read a sentence, or similar dumb shit, you are a "nerd." It really depends, some people don't have the intelligence to know the proper meaning of "nerd".

Just kidding, it depends what do you mean by "nerd". When I hear "nerd" I think of a fat/super-skinny, socially akward, sits all day infront of the PC / studying person.
If you workout and you aren't socially akward, then you aren't a nerd by me.

If I have to give one negative thing I see about many nerds is that they usually become depressed and close-minded, thinking they can't change if they want to. Some of them that get high grades many times can't find a good job even though they have good grades and since they are so close-minded, because they focused their whole life on school, then they can't even think of an other option except some good paying, normal job (although that's not just a nerds problem).

Oh, they also don't get to enjoy being with women and enjoy life outside of their house.

If you define a nerd as a smart persone, hell no there is not even 1 thing wrong about them, maybe that they can get cocky about it sometimes.

If you define a nerd as someone who study a lot, if you have a decent social life and you feel confortable with yourself I don't see anything wrong.

If you define a nerd as a socially akward, guy who sits all day in front of pc... look above for opinions.

depends on what you mean by nerd really,
if you mean the social outcast that are interested in things that most people have not heard of, or really into a certain fandom ( starwars, startreck, doctor who, ect. ).
then a lot of things actually. ._.
most of which fall into the whole depression thing
being lonely and shit.
