Anywhere I go,
zombies.Anywhere I do go,
there will be people who either want to raid me, shoot me, or any other misc motive they have in mind.
They might of already boarded up the place.
They might have
blown it up.They might
snap and think it right to shoot everyone who isn't a zombie to 'put them out of their misery'.
So, if case of zombies,
I'm winging it.I just honestly don't give a damn about -myself-, especially if the world resets into 'Flight or Fight'. I'm not worth crying over, my problems don't mean the end of the world, I won't miss anything really, and not having a computer or Ipod, or even a phone will make me want to shoot myself. I don't know... I just don't see my actual self and it's wants/necessities relative.
It's not imperative for me to survive, the universe doesn't suddenly explode (I hope not). So all I'm focused on is the reality and the outside world, what my senses are painting for me.
So I'll have fun as long as I would be there.
So really, I don't mind if zombies become fact. It's just another thing to do.
Just give me my arms and legs, and my eyes, etc. I'll solve the zambie level or die having tried to play the game.
Don't mind if I get bit, either. Just shoot me. I guess.
I'll go my own way. Find a
maybeshelter, maybe a vehicle to camp in, maybe just walk the road.
maybe dig a hole and make a small trench fort out of salvaged supplies or something, a shed
Or go all out and run around the infected streets nonstop,

Depends on the scenario. Maybe I get a good coin flip and end up securing a small area with supplies by myself, maybe with people I know I can trust.
Either way, there's no real plan. Just rules, or guidelines to follow.
It's not that I don't want people to be with me, either. I just think it's really the best bet. You might need help sometimes, but you don't have to worry about waiting for someone who fell behind.
Or an extra mouth.

mental issues and coming to terms with the new situation.I'm very confident that, once it becomes an actual necessity to smash a human corpse in two while it stoop upright like a person/kill a person with a virus, I won't have a significant problem.
Might stand in front of their corpse for a bit, say sorry, I don't know. Might feel bad the very first time, but that would become more and more temporary as it became routine. I could turn that part of me off if I really had to.
I won't ever relish or encourage the action, though. If the zombies are the latter,
it's straight up murder. That shouldn't become something you do every other day for fun.
But it'd become a fact of life until it didn't have to be that way (if virus subsided/zambies died off).
That being said, I might like to sneak off than go in ablaze.
I'll never push myself more than I have to. Or need to. I'd rather stay with the zombies and then leave later with a
sated hunger and sharp mind than
jog with an empty stomach and headache.I'll carry light. No firearms on me though, so eventually
my hands will be upon a dead man's gun, and I'll be looking down the sights.In terms of what skills I'd have, I'm generally educated with basic CPR/AED training as well as a generalist (and I just fucking love to overcomplicate things), so 75% of the time I'll be able to figure out a way to solve the issue... or tissue... or broken bone. Not absolutely godsend "I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING", but I'll be wise enough/clever enough/educated guess-enough to apply a splint or dress the wound with alcohol, clean it, bandage it, immobilize sprained or disjointed things, etc.
Delivering a baby is a whole other thing. I have enough faith in myself in knowing what to do, I've been shown a lot of things about birth, told a lot of things. The fact is, the mother could die. It won't be a hospital (maybe it could be, but with no staff...).
Childbirth is deadly for both the babby and the mother. Twisted arms, wrapped umbilical cords, Lots of blood loss if things tend to happen as they always do.
And how do we feed it?
Do you really want to raise a child in a place like that, even?
If I deliver a child, it's likely that it will be my responsibility, as the mother may not be around, the father might not want it, father might be dead or may not be there at all. The sibling, if one, could be too young or incapable of dealing with the scenario.
That's a lot to ask for...
I could never justify mercy killing a baby. Never. Not ever. So I guess I'd end up taking care of it.
And I won't ever get too up close and personal with zombies. Fighting is one thing, fighting and getting bit is basically suicide by zombie.

I might not give a damn, but that's still pretty senseless. Especially if people rely on me at the moment it could happen, suppose someone does decide to add me to their little happy group.
A studying engineer, I like to take things apart sometimes. I'd probably
maybe (do) know how to hotwire a car, or take apart an engine for misc reasons. And practice that, as it might be a necessity.
Combustible engines do have Lubricant, Shafts, Belts, Spark Plugs... a lot of things, really. It'll be hard to get them out, especially because engines weight A TON, but hey. If it's there. (I'd rather have a 'cold' spark plug hooked up to some source of power to light things 'naturally')
It'd be really damn hard for me to make a generator, though. Unlikely. So electricity is almost a no-no besides car batteries, portable generators I could 'steal', and hydro dams probably already taken over.
Not feasible, not worth it, I doubt I have/would find the right electrical components or even the tools to make one/time to forge one out of something common, with inefficient power output. And the possible amount of concentration one would need
vs the zombies banging on your door.
But keep in mind, books and libraries may still exist if not blown to hell. I'll visit one, and ask for books rather than ask to come inside if it's fortified. Anything you don't know, you could possibly learn later.
Food isn't an issue. I'll eat anything and suffer the consequences, if it doesn't kill me or irradiate my insides.
Even grass, trees, unripe fruit, maybe even straight vitamins and supplements. Whatever. nutritional content vs "Eww this tastes awful". But... I won't just go ahead and eat the snail and risk brain infection rather than eating the fairly ripe carrot I found lying in the shelves.
Things like Botulism might bother me when eating canned food, canned foods also have some trace amounts of chemicals that will eventually snowball inside of you as well as low nutritional value compared to -actual- things not canned, not good to constantly rely on them, but might not have a choice.
And radiation, I know enough
but not everything about decontaminating myself as well as the symptoms that follow, so I'll probably bring some scavenged lead with me/extra clothes in a bag lined with some lead material.
There's a dentist office near me, pretty sure not
many people think about the vests let alone the machines in there.
Imagine setting up the front door with X-rays. It'd be a nice way to stop the living from coming inside without permission.
Wearing the same clothes that just got exposed to beta particles for even 3 seconds doesn't sound like the best idea either. Geiger counters are my friend.
And it doesn't always have to be lead I'm hiding behind, if I end up near a nuclear explosion, the best bet is 30-50 miles away inside a building with enough objects or furniture between me and the walls.
And I'd be sure to stay away from the windows for a couple weeks. Maybe carefully hose them off later, assuming I have a hose or hose-like system going on.
General cardinal directions are common knowledge for the majority (I hope), even if I don't have a compass or the sun, I could figure out where I am thanks to the flora in the area.
And it might be nice to move up north or farther south where corpses will have either a harder time staying fluid and mobile, or rot faster
because it's so goddamn hot. Getting lost in the wild is fine, I've been bored every now and then and bothered to look up things, and know not to eat the small round berries that the birds eat.
Or extravagantly bright things.
I know what poison ivy looks like, not eating or touching that either.
Maple syrup trees can also be my friend, sometimes.
Birch trees are good, and easy to break. I could whittle some tools out of them, given the actual time I might have on my hands
when there is no society.I'm not sure whether the zombie virus could mutate and affect wild animals, so killing them also doesn't sound good if the virus works that way.
Won't want to eat dead flesh that's been alive long enough to see society trip over itself. Even if I just killed it.
It could have rabies, I'm not a super expert on determining whether something is rabid, other than obvious visual cues. Things won't always be obvious.
Hygiene is only so important when you literally don't have running water or are concerned about going to work/school/are completely alone/comfort, so every now and then I MIGHT think about visiting a lake or something. But the water is better inside of me than all over the place. And I should at least try to clean myself up, because of said virus/if I get open wounds I'm fucked/general cleanliness is nice sometimes.
There won't be time to shave, either.

I also wouldn't exactly trust a giant militia (like a random division with no one to report to) with guns. When there's no actual authority, who knows.
