Just something i wrote.

Well since there is no Literature forum:
Well i used to write about this when i was around 8. I'm sure that i have matured pass my age. And my teacher liked my poems but those were on other subjects. This is the one topic I've pondered on for a while. Well here's a poem i wrote just a bit ago. It should make you think a little, and truly think about the topic. Its a very dark one though:

True death or endless cycle?
Void or new life?
Endless torment, or true happiness?
What truly lies beyond?

How long does this mystery last?
Is it the border between reality and spirituality,
the gate to forever guard the truth,
from prying eyes.

Or will that gate finally crack
to allow any in or out?
Or is there a void between this world,
and that one,
the gate between happiness, torment,
and our bounds on earth.

Is hell a void,
an endless void for all to wonder?
Or is it an endless torture chamber,
for all to endure nothing but pain and suffering?

Is heaven a sanctuary,
an eternal happiness?
Or a place to dream,
a place to dream about a new life?

Or are they both fake,
a result of humanity’s incapability to learn the truth?
Curious about what truly lies beyond.
We may never know as a physical being.

Death.
A secret that has eluded us for so long.
Will we ever learn?
Or will our curiosity lead to our destruction?
How far will we go to learn the truth?

Death.
An eluding subject indeed.
It clearly isn’t meant to be found.
What happens when we do;
what happens we actually do find it?
Will we condemned to this so called “hell”,
or allowed to truly enter this cherished “heaven”?
Can we choose, or is there a higher being?
Is there such a fate,
to have another choose your life?
Or when we die do we just move to another dream?

What you believe is solely up to you.

Hmm, at this point you probably think I'm depressed or something. lol

good poem for an 8 year old XD. a little depressing yeah, but about the topic of whether god does or doesn't exist. there was just a 4 page long flame war about that so let's not start that back up. kthxbai.

im 14 now but ya the poems i used to make when i was 8 were pretty good. well im not trying to start no war or anything im just trying to get people to think about whats after death, if there is anything. honestly im atheist but i dont care what people believe in. i still wrote about it. im just trying to state how we try to satisfy our curiosity, through stories, true or not in the end its what an individual decides to believe in and others have no right to judge them. however religion will always be a cause of war, but the war isnt between atheists and religious people but between 2 different religions. i dont judge people based on what they believe. in my poem i simply tried to state what we've done to try to unveil the mysteries of life and death.

also thx. i would love for this to be enough to spark an interest in a literature forum ;P im interesting to see what others have written. i may suck at drawing but i can express just as much as a drawing can in words.

if you dont like poetry, then dont post in a topic ABOUT IT (well unless they are asking if you like it or not, but thats not the case here). This is for opinions on my poem not if you like poems or not.
