Really 4 pints? Your body only has around 10 pints.
That's generally known as the level where you are near death, and have to be necessitated if you lose that much blood. At 3 pints you would have gone into shock and require fluids.
Was it bleeding like that when you left the oral surgeons? Cause it sounds like he cut an artery or something. My 4 teeth didn't have any real significant bleeding after I left the doctors when I got them removed.
Yep. 4 pints. I think my mom said it was 3 3/4? (or was it 3 1/4) but yea, I lost a lot.
We aren't sure how it happened. It was only bleeding on one side which was really odd....
Also the bleeding was SOO bad. That the doctor helping me got some special tape or whatever, my blood still went through it and she said, "This shouldn't be happening this is what we use for trauma patients." and another one said she was a dentist for 20 years and she's never seen anything like it.
We do know that the pills I took made my blood thinner, so that certainly made the problem worse...
My top wisdom teeth caused me no problems but my bottom ones did(they were impacted)
No clue if it was life or death, but I think it was starting to get into the VERY dangerous zone instead of just the regular dangerous zone.
