Someone in your school ever pass away?
Ἆxule:
Today as I was walking home, I walked across a car accident that occurred a couple hours before. The only thing though was that it wasn't any ol' car accident. People were crying. That's when you get shivers down your spine and you don't know what to think.
I found out later that a girl (who I didn't know) passed away due to the driver, a 16 year old who was under the influence of alcohol, driving in a 25mph area at 85mph.
I didn't really get affected by this too much, mainly because I had no affiliation with anyone in the accident, but it makes you think about life and how fragile it really is.

Any of you guys ever have something like this happen?
Cheesicle:
2004 Indian Earthquake and Tsunami. I was in Malaysia 2 days before the deadly tsunami struck. Two students at my school weren't so lucky. Both of them, (6th and 8th grade, they were brothers) were killed in the tsunami along with their parents during their vacation in Thailand. The only survivor from their family was the youngest sister, only 6 years old at the time. She out ran the tsunami. My gym teacher and her family were almost killed in the same tsunami, but a local villager warned them after he saw the shoreline recede rapidly. They fled to the hotel, but the tsunami struck and they almost drowned when their hotel was flooded.
The 8th grader that was killed in the tsunami was in the same grade as my brother, and during his high school graduation, an empty seat was placed right next to where my brother was sitting. The seat had a graduation cap and diploma on it, and was meant for that 8th grader that died.
During the same year, a 5th grade girl died from heart failure after doing exercise at home.
Also in the same year, a group of North Korean defectors seeking amnesty jumped the gates at my school thinking it was the US consulate (We are an American school, so we flew the US and Chinese Flag at our entrance). We were required by law to turn the defectors in.
It was truly a fucked up year.
When I was in 6th grade, my brother's math teacher died after fighting diabetes for years.
Last year, the school's head librarian died of a heart attack. It was so fucked up because I talked to her literally 2 days before she died, and she seemed fine.
1 day before my birthday this year, a close family friend and alumni of my school killed himself by jumping off a building.
Yeah, death is never easy to cope with.

I don't think anyone really close to me has died, I mean, my grandparents on my mom's side sort of passed away but I ever knew her dad and her mom died when she was 7
as for school though, my best friend Ellie's father died sometime last year,
Spoiler: how-he-died (click to show/hide)it was really terrible. basically 2 years before he died he got in a really bad car accident where he was on a motorcycle and a really big truck with a drunk driver inside rammed his ride from behind and sent him flying. appearently, when he kind of slid across the road, his bones were spread everywhere, and they had to pick up each of his bones.. or something along those lines.. but anyways, by some miracle he survived for 2 more years in a wheel chair paralyzed from the chest down.. well sort of survived, he kind of died 5 times during the 2 years, which is amazing by the way. poor guy :/, he was a cool bro.
TehHank:
3 Years ago, a 16 year old on a December morning who drank far too much Cider or Shandy (Can not remember) slipped on some ice next to a river and drowned in the icy water. A tree was planted in tribute to him in our school grounds. :(
○ Μαρία ○:
Last year a boy committed suicide (at least that's what we all believe since they said he died from "sudden death") a lot of people around our school were crying, including a friend of mine. It's sad. I've always had a big problem with thinking about death, I know it's something I shouldn't worry about since it's inevitable for everyone; but I think that's the main reason I worry about it, because it's unavoidable. And for me, it's not even just me dying, it's mostly watching the people around you die. Every life is important to me, no matter how simple they may appear. One of my dogs died earlier this year, and even though she wasn't my favorite and she got in the way a lot, I ws absolutely devastated for almost a week.
