People like you are the reason we can't have nice things.
Basing everything off of rumors and shit. Why don't you actually do some research before spewing shit like that?
Anyways, it's definitely a lot more casual than DayZ. I think there's a good bit of room for improvement, but the thing I'm really liking about hammerpoint is that they're listening to their players and making constant changes, unlike Rocket who just does whatever the fuck he wants and doesn't give a shit.
So far though, I think I'm going to get it only becuase I feel like I've done all there is to do and DayZ, and it's pretty boring for me. With WarZ, it's an entirely new map with new functions, new items, new weapons, new experiences. It's fun to explore and look for things and search places. These kinds of games ruin their fun once you know where everything is, and have/had the best stuff in the game.
I could very easily spend 30-40+ hours on that alone. Just exploring. From the little I've played of it so far, I feel I'll definitely get my moneys worth. Plus, the engine that WarZ is using is far, far more optimized.
I also hope you realize that DayZ standalone is exactly the same as the mod. It's just going to use a slightly updated version of the arma engine. There's going to be no new content.
You do realize that there is already absolute proof this game went into making after DayZ, and that the gun UI(or some shit) is ripped out STRAIGHT from Crysis(or Far Cry I forget). So none of this is based off of rumors. They are based off of facts.
Well the Standalone will be prettier and have a minecraft alpha sort of thing. ( Which I'm completely against because I hate minecraft, notch, kickstarters, puppies, and hope. ) No clue if I will actually get it or not. Depends on the price.
