There's a fine line between free speech and hate speech.
That being said, most 'hate speech' in online games is just shit talking to the other team/to a shitty person on your team.
Yea, I don't want to say it shouldn't be taking seriously. But it shouldn't really be taken seriously. It's the internet, people are ass holes, it's how it works. The guys screaming on their mics/being complete dicks don't act like that. They would never shit talk a girl in public.
I feel like the people who are "addressing" this problem are just going to make it into a real problem, when there wasn't much of a problem in the first place.
What's a Halo 4?
I stopped at 3.
But yeah, everything is silly. It really doesn't even appeal to me that they're banning sexism, if anything, the majority of players are male and it just creates a greater grounds for them to hate on the same sex, 'you fag'.
You know,
And all that fun stuff.
Certainly, Sexism is the greatest problem here. Wherein not many girls even opt to speak or reveal themselves over Live, let alone bother with people outing them like some sort of rare item.
Honestly I think more guys are nice to girls on the internet then they are mean to them. But of course all the nicest is ignored.
A lot of guys treat girls online like goddesses. For every woman shit talker, there are usually 5 or so dudes being her white nights ( aka trying to get in her pants )
