Dead harddrive
Shawn:
So I'm pretty sure i fried my harddrive after i moved (so no gaming for a bit) but I'm wondering if you guys know of some cheap good ones i can get to replace it and if there is anyway i can recover files and whatnot from the old one
The one i was useing was the seagate 7200 750gig
Loke:
It's dead. No recovering files etc.
Just browse some part retailers:
www.ncix.ca is my favourite. Canadian, too!

From my understanding it depends on the damage of the drive, i know some places that do data recovery but they probably charge an arm and a leg to do it i was just hoping someone knew of a "cheap" way of doing it at home instead of bringing it in.

How old is the drive?
