Warning children: Different views ahead
Meh, I still enjoy it. They're obviously doing something right if people are still playing and enjoying their games.
If you're talking about CoD still, Activision/Treyarch did absolutely nothing right to a gamer with a taste for FPS.
The only people who buy it are pubescent 10 year olds who show off to their friends about their "prestige" level. Since they probably never grew up on an actual FPS game, they crown CoD as if it was conceived by the hand of god itself. It's not, it's the same game from the previous titles with hardly any significant improvements. $15 for a horrible 3 map-pack that anyone can easily recreate in an hour with a SDK toolset.
I have more than a clue of what I'm talking about, because I played them all through.
CoD 1-4 were pretty awesome.
Modern Warfare 2 was shit. Small shitty maps, same CoD 4 graphics, some fucking "stop Russian" story line
Black Ops was a horrible fucking pile of shit, all but for zombies, which was semi-entertaining. Along with the fact that you could play in 'Nam in some missions.
Modern Warfare 3...I actually frown upon people who buy that and legitimately think it's cool, because it's the same horrible game as the previous 2.
So really, Call of Duty used to be good, but now it's a horrible, poor excuse, steaming pile of shit of a video game.
