So my friend just convinced me to try out LoL and it's alright so far though I'm not very good at Strategy games. Is there any tips for beginners like me?

Try bot games and play through easy, recommended champs until you get better and know item builds.

Use a build guide. If your team isn't stupid, you should be getting kills and winning games.

Also, try to not feed(letting enemies kill you easily.)

Don't put a sticky note over your map.

(Have high map awareness and always know where an enemy is going.)

I suggest you don't get runes until level 20-30 because it barely helps you at a low level with tiny bonuses..

Just because you suck with a champion at first, don't give up on them yet. It takes a bit to get used to them, but once you do, you get pretty good.
