What to improve?

Now, I purchased my PC(per-built) and I am very happy with it. But I would like to get rid of the AMD GPU and CPU. I was wandering what a good CPU and GPU would be good for my PC.

AMD FX 8120 X8 CPU 3.10GHz
AMD Radeon HD 6700 1GB
1TB HDD
650 Watt PSU
AsusTek M5A88-M Motherboard with AMD 880G Chipset
16GB(16384MB) DDR3 RAM

NVIDEA and Intel are what I'm looking for. I have been searching for a while and found some good things. Anybody got some ideas for what to put in my PC?

The only thing you should upgrade is the GPU. Everything else is fine.

I would go for one of the new Nvidia 6xx

You could spend $200 on an intel CPU, $140 on an 1155 board and $200 on a new GPU and only get around 10-20% better performance. Maybe if the RAM is 4 x 4GB you could sell off two sticks, sell the GPU (6770 I think) and get something like a 7850, 660 or 7870. That would be around $70 out (if you sold the RAM/GPU) and would get a nice 30%-40% boost.

If you switch out the CPU, you'll need a new mobo
