fuck roofs

Has anyone had to do some repair or some shit on a roof before? It is not fucking fun. I went up to put tar around the sky lights because they were dripping water a bit and... holy fuck it was hot. I was in shorts so that didn't help. Cut up my knees at the same time as burning my hands/legs. And went up with old shoes with fairly poor grip and were loose. It was so hard not to slip holy shit...
But yea got it done while sweating like hell... And I'll have to probably do it a lot more too, most likely after winter. Fuck.

Oh and it was my first time on obviously. And I'd like to mention that the roofs on about a 40 degree angle or so... not exactly flat.

Always wear pants if you're going to be on your knees xD

Luckily I was feeding the panels and shooting off the ridge so I was always standing up... and I really don't mind an angle.

Just don't ever step on a compressor line or plastic up there otherwise you'll find yourself somewhere not on the roof lool.

But yea.. taring ain't fun... smells like shit too lol.

Yea I didn't have any pants that I would be okay with ruining so I was like yep, fuck it I'll ruin my legs instead.
Getting onto/off the roof was so awkward though. The ladder we have wasn't high enough so I had to do some monkey climbing shit in order to get on. Like I had to first put my feet on this not at all sturdy post/fence/railing with loofers and stuff and then climb on.

I live in a house where the A/C unit is located on the roof.

This is going to suck shit if it just completely breaks down and I end up fixing.

And that shit leaked too, creating a nice mildew ring around my main a/c vent.

I haven't had a roof leak in years. The last time it leaked is when we had built a new room upstairs.

The first time it leaked an entire section of the ceiling almost caved in, though.

Well yea I had gloves but I don't have a shitty pair of jeans. Cheapest pair was still fairly new and like $50 so I just didn't want to ruin them lol.
And they would be hot as fuck any ways.

It's always good to have like a pair of walmart jeans that you don't mind ruining Lol and ya it would be hot with jeans but in the long run its worth having them on if you have to work on roofs everyday Lmao
