Discuss the new Zombie Game coming out The WarZ.

I honestly HONESTLY think this is a hoax or something.

They said on monday they would give out Beta Keys. Now look, Wednesday and no Beta Keys. also why would they hand out Betas without even a small teaser of the game?

Another thing is that supposedly the owner of the Facebook page is a dick... Anyway here are the links if you have not heard

A much better done, less buggy, and dedicated knock off.

Well keep in mind it's being remade as it's own game, so basically there's a chance for it to be better or worse.
Thanks Marie

It seems like it is free because the pre order doesn't have any paying!

Will probably make DayZ go down if it is good enough.

I doubt it. While the general setting and gameplay style would be pretty similar, they'll be different enough to be two different games.

It'd be like trying to compare Call of Duty to Counter-Strike. Sure, they're both FPS's with a lot of guns and team-based gamemodes, but they play so differently, and are two different games. You can still play and enjoy both games.

WarZ is going to be an MMO, pretty much making it a (personally) interesting combination of Dead Island and DayZ.

DayZ is just a sandbox. You're dropped in the middle of nowhere with no goal or directive, except for surviving. Lots of possibilities for player-to-player interactions that you're probably not going to get with WarZ.

Well, apparently this has been in development for 5 years, so it's not really a DayZ copy/paste.

This is interesting though, if they pull of the game right, they could have a lot of players.

Thank you Marie for the sprite.

They've been "thinking" about it for a while now. They didn't actually start getting off their asses until they saw how successful DayZ was and realized "oh, hey. There's actually a market for this."

They did admit they're drawing a lot of their ideas and inspiration from DayZ though. In an interview, they even said they lurk the DayZ forums and see what people like, and don't like, as a sort of quick-access of their target demographics opinions.

That actually scares me, seeing as the majority of the DayZ players are children who are afraid of the dark and want everything to be bright as day in the country at midnight, want the longest range engagements to be at 5 meters, and well... I could bitch about the community for dayz (Im a horrible person). I look forward to this but I hope its an unforgiving game instead of the usual game thats pretty much "40 zombies just bit me simultaneously, grab me a band-aid"
