Fraps Error

I have been noticing this for a while but every time I use fraps on Starcraft 2 it would give me an OpenGL error and I even got the BSOD once D:. It used to work before and also is your frame rate suppose to drop horribly when you record?
Edit:I would like to post more info but I'm at my cousins house on an iPad -_-.

Yes. And the filesizes can get into the gigabytes if your resolution is huge.
A Man named William Reed's last living testament says that he is going to read his own will.

Will Reed's will will read "Will Reed will read Will Reed's will"

I knew about the file sizes but didn't know about the frame rates. That's one problem down.

More framerate = More GBs
The reason why Fraps lags your games like shit, is to reduce the filesize.

You can try to Reduce the length of the videos, and combine them in programs such as Sony Vegas, or WMM even.

Actuall the file sizes don't affect me the frames don't really I don't mind recording 30fps but the fact that it crashes everytime I start recording is the annoying part.

Edit: That came out weird. Anyway the problem is the crashes.

Does it crash in other games too?
If not it'll likely be an error from Starcraft.

Could be your harddrive..? Maybe try to do a scan for bad sectors. Could explain why it would BSOD.

Anyways, I don't use Fraps since the shit FPS you get while recording. Use Dxtory, it's much better than Fraps, trust me.

Sabb: oh when'd you get there!?
...
Sabb: That was embarrassing.

How about changing recording software? Dxtory is an up and coming recording software with much more configuration than Fraps. I use it myself.

Half size, if not done already...
Vsync
This is just to steady the rate.
