Idling Like a BOSS

Steam > Right Click TF2 > Properties > Startup Options > Type This: -textmode -noshader -novid -console -nosound

Start it now, It should now be a command prompt

now:

Steam > Servers

Find a Team Fortress 2 Idle Server Using game parameter "Team Fortress 2"

in map section type "achievement_idle"

join a game

the command prompt version of TF2 (running at barley ANY recourses :D) should connect to it.

No, you do not have to join a team. Just let it sit there.

When finished (wait about 3 hours MINIMUM) take away the parameters in Startup Options, start the game like normal, join ANY server connected to steam, Join a team, Go in and play until you die. RECEIVE SHIT LOADS OF ITEMS.

6 days of idle 128 hours and 42 items

They have done one thing in the past about this.

Taken all idlers weps, given all non idlers a hat.

I contacted steam support about this, They said it is not against a rule, but they think it is unfair, even though you are spending the same amount of time as other people do lol.

Don't be scared.

btw this is when you see people who get like 9 things at a time and the whole server is jealous :D.

as you can see, no VAC bans were given to those idlers, just a reset. lol

NOTE:// Valve says "We don't expect to do anything promotional like that again, it did bring us alot of attention but lost a lot of players."

Seems to me that Valve wants people to actually play the game and not just idle

anyway tf2 has changed a lot, it was really a lot more fun and unique back in the day
